Wag 'n Bietjie Campsite
The "Wag 'n Bietjie" campsite is situated at the foot of the Kransberg and consist of a caravan, a braai area and an ablution block. The campsite is meant for the adventurer and nature lover.

Marekele National Park
Situated in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains you will find the Marakele National Park, which is well known by the 4x4 enthusiasts who want to get away from it all. The park is a sanctuary for a variety of wildlife including the endangered Cape Vultures, over 800 breeding pairs, plus cat, elephant and rhino. Amongst the plant species found in the area are rare finds of yellowwood and cedar trees, cycads and tree ferns.

How to get there
Lepogo is situated in the Waterberg mountain range, near Thabazimbi. Travelers can take either
the N1 to Warmbaths and from there follow the R516 via Mabula and Leeupoort to Thabazimbi, or travel to Brits and follow the R511 via Beestekraal to Thabazimbi or follow the R510 via Rustenburg to Thabazimbi. Follow the road to Marakele / Alma which is tarred but turn into a gravel road for about 16 kilometers.(Please click the "Map-icon" for more information")

Game Drives
Game drives are undertaken in Marakele. The National Park is just round the corner from Lepogo La Thaba. Various game species have successfully been resettled in Marakele including white and black Rhino, Lion, Tsessebe, Red hartebeest, Gemsbuck, Elephant, Wild dogs, Buffallo, Leopard, Sable antelope, Blue wilde beest, Eland, Giraffe, Waterbuck, Kudu, Impala, Duiker, Bushbuck, Warthogs, Baboons, Vervet Monkeys, Squirrels, Bushbabies, Cheeta and a host of other animal species.

Bird Watching
An amazing variety of birds to watch, including what’s probably the largest colony of endangered Cape vultures in the world. (about 800 breeding pairs). Please download our
